Hi, my name is Sydney, and I’m the founder of Friest Designs! I’ve always had a passion for writing, but it wasn’t until high school that I learned brush lettering. I immediately fell in love and spent many hours practicing and improving my skills. However, it wasn’t until the pandemic that I began using brush lettering to create custom signs for local families. I continued to create custom signs and ornaments until the summer of 2022, when I expanded into stickers, stationery, and gifts. In the spring of 2023, I graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design and Environmental Studies.

Over the past few years, I have slowly developed my brush lettering into a few signature styles unique to myself that are seen in many of my designs. Being able to brighten someone’s day with my designs and remind them of what they love most in life is what pushes me forward, and I can’t wait to do the same for you!

In my free time, you can usually find me traveling, playing volleyball, reading, playing card or board games, or spending time with friends and family. I’m currently working on going to all of the national parks in the US and have 22 crossed off the list. During my travels, I love to photograph landscapes and wildlife and have even created a coffee table photography book as a capstone project using those photos. I’m also a Disney movie nerd and like to put my favorite childhood movies on in the background while I work.
